Legal
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Digitplus Technology Limited (“Digitplus”, “we”, “us”) handles information collected through digitplustechnology.com. We take a privacy-first approach: we collect as little as we reasonably can, use it only for the purpose you gave it to us, and never sell it.
We aim to handle personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act, 2023 (NDPA) and the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR). Where this policy refers to your rights, it refers to the rights those laws give you as a data subject.
Information we collect
We only collect information you choose to provide, and the minimum a page genuinely needs:
- Contact enquiries. When you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email, organisation, optional phone number, service interest, and your message.
- Newsletter sign-ups. We collect your email address only.
- Limited technical data. If you accept non-essential cookies, Google Analytics records aggregate usage to help us improve the site. It sets cookies and is not loaded at all until you consent — decline or ignore the banner and no analytics runs and no data reaches Google.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and provide the services you ask for.
- To send you the quarterly briefing, where you opted in.
- To maintain and improve the security and performance of the site.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making, and we do not send marketing you did not ask for.
Lawful basis for processing
Under the NDPA, we rely on the following bases:
- Consent, for newsletter sign-ups and any non-essential analytics.
- Legitimate interest, to respond to a business enquiry you send us and to keep the site secure.
- Steps prior to a contract, to prepare a proposal or assessment you request.
- Legal obligation, where we must retain or disclose information to comply with the law.
Cookies and consent
Essential cookies needed for the site to function may be set without consent. Any non-essential cookies (for example, analytics) are disabled by default and only enabled if you actively opt in through our consent control. You can change your choice at any time.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your data. We share information only with the service providers who help us operate the site and respond to you (for example, email delivery or form handling), and only to the extent needed to provide that service. We may disclose information where required by law.
The providers that help us operate may include an email-delivery service, an email-marketing platform, a CRM, and Google Analytics (Google LLC) for website analytics. We engage them as data processors under appropriate terms.
International transfers
Some of our service providers may store or process data outside Nigeria. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information remains protected to a standard consistent with the NDPA, including through the providers’ contractual and security commitments.
Data retention
We keep enquiry and lead information only as long as needed to act on it and to meet legitimate business and legal requirements, then delete or anonymise it.
Your rights as a data subject
Under the NDPA and NDPR, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request deletion of your data where there is no lawful reason to keep it;
- object to, or request restriction of, certain processing;
- withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing);
- request portability of data you provided to us.
To exercise any of these, email hello@digitplustechnology.com and we will respond promptly. If you believe we have not handled your data lawfully, you may also lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard the data you entrust to us.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a revised “last updated” date.
